Customer Satisfaction

Put quite simply, we aren’t happy until you are. If for any reason you have a concern about your experience at The Soccer Learning Center, please communicate with us immediately and we’ll work together toward a speedy resolution. Session Make-Ups

Session make-ups will only be offered for weather-related closings authorized by The Soccer Learning Center.  There are no makeups due to schedule conflicts, illness, injury, vacations, family obligations, special events or individual quarantine restrictions. No game makeups or online classes will be offered if a mandated closure occurs due to a pandemic or local/state/national emergency.

Refunds

Your soccer payment is non-refundable for any reason after you register with us – except as noted below.

The only deviation from this policy will exist for extended mandated closures due to a pandemic or state/local/national emergency. In that case, if the closure mandate occurs BEFORE the start of the FIRST GAME of the registered season and it appears that the season will be cancelled in part or in full, a refund will be provided upon written request. If the mandated closure occurs AFTER the start of the FIRST GAME of the registered season, all tuition paid for that season will NOT be refunded and no credits/makeups/online classes or equivalent classes will be offered.

As a small business, we are unable to absorb the additional costs of a second pandemic-related closure at this time. We have instituted this refund policy as a reflection of this urgent situation that we find ourselves in due to the devastating financial impacts we have experienced due to the 2020 mandated pandemic closure of our business.

No refunds, class credits, online classes or equivalent classes will be provided if a mandated closure occurs due to a local/state/national emergency or pandemic other than the specific refund provision described above. 

Once you register and pay for a league or game match, that spot is considered reserved and unavailable to others. Please make sure your activity schedule is confirmed prior to reserving a space with us – we cannot offer refunds due to conflicts with other activities. 

Should you register and pay for classes at The Soccer Learning Center and then fail to attend your games or matches, you are not eligible for full or partial tuition refunds. 

We reserve the right to charge a $25.00 administrative fee for any change once you’ve already registered for games or matches.

If you dispute your confirmed credit card charge and reserved space with your payment provider or PayPal, we reserve the right to proceed with collections and/or legal actions to ensure the recovery of the disputed amount plus any additional fees and damages. We encourage you to communicate with us to ensure proper compliance with all of our policies.

Player’s Code of Conduct

At The Soccer Learning Center, we stress teamwork as well as player and staff respect. We expect that each of our players will be ready to listen, learn and actively participate in a team environment. Should a player not conform to general rules of conduct, we will remind them of their responsibilities as a player on our team. If a player continues to disregard classroom rules and creates an environment that is disruptive to the rest of the team, we reserve the right to remove that player from class and/or prohibit them from participating in future sessions and all paid tuition will be forfeited.

COVID-19 Code of Conduct (Revised as of February 2022)

At The Soccer Learning Center, we will do our best to ensure a safe and healthy environment for our players and their fans. We will adhere to all CDC recommendations for social distancing, face coverings, temperature checks and hand cleansing. Match cancellations or delays may occur which are out of our control. We ask for your understanding during this time.

All players and spectators are required to follow our Covid safety protocols at all times until further notice. Disregarding protocols will result in immediate termination from TSLC. All fees paid will be forfeited. Our protocols include:

  • Masking is optional. Please be respectful of a player/participant choice to mask/not mask. 
  • All participants are reminded to follow good hygiene practices including limiting physical contact with other players, not sharing water bottles, not spitting or leaving clothing/wraps/bandages/personal items with body fluids on our playing surfaces.
  • After a match has been played, NO shaking hands or hugging with the opposing team will be allowed. We ask that you instead use a thumbs-up signal as a tool to show good sportsmanship and fair team play. 
  • All participants are required to purchase their own game pinnie. Pinnies are available for sale on our website for $10.00 each. We will limit the amount of equipment that is shared at all times. 
  • There is no available seating for spectators. Participants are asked to bring their own foldable/portable chairs and remove them at the end of their matches.  Spectators are not allowed on the field at any time. They may watch matches from designated areas only.
  • NO FOOD of any kind can be consumed while on the field.
  • If you are feeling unwell, please stay home. If you have been exposed to another individual diagnosed with the Covid virus, please stay home and carefully follow your doctor’s recommendations for quarantine. We encourage you to utilize your community’s resources for Covid testing. If you were diagnosed with Covid and you attended a TSLC class while infected, notify Coach Alex immediately at 201-920-8523.
  • We will follow ALL CDC, federal, state and local mandates as they are released. We are required to cooperate with any efforts in contact tracing and any health department rules and regulations. Sudden cancellations may occur and we ask for your patience and cooperation.

Our staff will provide one friendly reminder to wear a mask properly and practice social distancing. Any attendee not adhering to proper mask wearing and social distancing will be asked to leave the premises and will forfeit any remaining tuition for the remainder of the session. There are no exceptions to these guidelines. 

Lost & Found

The Soccer Learning Center is not responsible for any items that you leave behind in the playing area. Please remember to bring all personal items with you at the conclusion of your game.

Red Card Conduct Rule

The Soccer Learning Center reserves the right to immediately and permanently expel any player; their guests; or a class spectator; and request that they leave the location premises for any serious infraction that violates our strictly enforced code of conduct. Activities that may lead to an instant “Red Card” expulsion include, but are not limited to: verbal abuse of any kind (cursing, name calling, defaming, demeaning or discriminatory remarks, etc); physical assault of any kind (spitting, hitting, kicking, biting, etc); unsportsmanship-like conduct; destruction of academy or class location property; disruptive class behavior; disruptive parent or spectator behavior, non-compliance to COVID related safety policies, etc.

Should a player/participant/spectator be expelled under our “Red Card” rule, a clear explanation of the policy violation will be provided upon request and any applicable paid tuition will be forfeited.

Abandoning a Match (Walking Off the Pitch During a Match)

An abandoned match is a forfeit and will not be replayed based on the TSLC rules/guidelines unless valid evidence is reviewed and approved by TSLC Conduct Leaders.  Team (in favor) will be awarded the 3 points via a standard score set out in the rules by getting the average score of the all matches of that day (eg: Taking the goal differential of every match and dividing it into number of matches played). Team (facing consequences): in addition to forfeiting the match there could be more serious consequences for the team based on behavior outcomes.  This will be decided at the discretion of the TSLC Conduct Leaders and referees. 

Spectator Participation  

Spectators are allowed in designated areas only off of the field area. No spectators are allowed onto the field area.

Training Area Etiquette  

We are dedicated to providing soccer activities in a safe and enjoyable atmosphere. Our standards are high – and our reputation in the community reflects our commitment. We expect all players and participants to partner with us in these efforts by remembering to follow these key policies:

  • Non-players must remain off of the field during matches.
  • Keep any personal property away from the playing field areas in order to prevent collision and tripping accidents.
  • Please remember not to consume ANY FOOD in the field areas. Water bottles cannot be shared.
  • Please respect all field rules and any directions provided to you by league or town officials.

Parking

Limited free parking is available at Shetik Field in Secaucus. Please turn onto Jefferson Avenue, then turn into the parking area. You cannot park your car for any extended time other than your registered match time/activity time. TSLC is not responsible for any loss/damage to your vehicle while parked.

Payments

All game and match payments must be made online at TSLCnews.com. If you are unable to pay in this manner, please contact Coach Alex Lalaoui to arrange another payment method. Should you pay a TSLC fee by check, and that check is returned to us by the bank, you will be required to pay a $30 administrative fee in addition to your activity payment. You are responsible for contacting us once you’ve learned your check has been returned. We will not hold your spot in the games or leagues unless your activity payment and bank fees are paid to us by cash or money order within three days of the date of your check’s return.

Disputed PayPal/Merchant Payments

Should you dispute and reverse a valid PayPal or merchant card payment to The Soccer Learning Center, you will be charged a $30.00 administration fee in addition to your regular tuition payment.

If you dispute your confirmed credit card charge and reserved activity space with your payment provider or PayPal, we also reserve the right to proceed with collections and/or legal actions to ensure the recovery of the disputed amount plus any additional fees and damages.

We encourage you to contact our office at 201-656-1156 to discuss any questions regarding your PayPal payments prior to disputing them.  Our credit card identifier is TEAM RAJA LLC/TSLC.

Food

There is no food allowed on the field areas at any time.

Critters in Class

No pets of any kind allowed on the playing area at any time (excluding verified and credentialed service animals).

Children 

No one under the age of 21 is allowed to participate in league matches. All minor-age spectators must be accompanied by a watchful adult and must be limited to spectator-only areas. Minor children are not allowed on the field at any time. TSLC is not responsible for any minor children who attend matches.

Class Dress Code

All players must be properly dressed at all times when participating in activity sessions. Our dress code is as follows:

  • We recommend a comfortable t-shirt and either shorts or sweat pants as apparel. For footwear, turf shoes, with laces tied/secured at all times, are required. We do not play with cleats.
  • ALL jewelry, earrings, rings, watches, fitbits, necklaces, bracelets, etc. is potentially hazardous during play and must be removed and safely stored during class. TSLC is not responsible for lost or misplaced jewelry, apparel or other personal items.
  • We do not maintain a lost/found and are not responsible for any personal items left in the training area. Please make sure you bring all personal items with you at the conclusion of your activity.
  • Due to safety and health code regulations, players are not allowed to remove their shirts at any time during the class. Shin guards, available at sporting good stores like Modell’s, are also required for all players.
  • Players are NOT required to wear masks or face coverings during active practice. Anyone accompanying the player must always have their mouth/nose properly covered during class and on all premises. Players must cover their face/mouth after their match has ended and they remain on field premises.

We reserve the right to remove any player/their caregiver from class who does not conform to this dress code. All paid tuition/league fees will be forfeited for non-compliance.

Registration Waiver/Hold Harmless Agreement – Applicable for All TSLC Adult Activities

I certify I am a registered player, I am 21 years old or older, and I wish to participate in soccer related activities at The Soccer Learning Center (referred to as Activity). I have disclosed any pertinent medical information in this document and certify that I have been cleared by my healthcare provider to participate in The Soccer Learning Center Activity. 

I certify that I will follow all staff directions related to all safety procedures in place at the time of my Activity including COVID-19 policies that cover proper mask wearing, hand sanitization, social distancing, temperature checks and any other procedure or practice necessary as recommended by the CDC and health department guidelines. I understand that if I am unwell I should not attend any TSLC Activity. I understand that personal information may be required to be distributed to contact tracers or the local health department per their directives.

I also certify that I am of the required class age and understand that if I do not produce documents verifying my age upon request, I will be removed from class and I will forfeit 100% of my tuition.

I acknowledge that the nature of the classes at The Soccer Learning Center may expose me to hazards or risks that may result in illness, personal injury or death. I understand and appreciate the nature of such hazards and risks. In consideration of my participation in the Activity, I hereby accept all risk to my health and of my injury that may result in such participation and I hereby release Team Raja, LLC DBA The Soccer Learning Center, it officers, employees, and representatives from any liability to me, our personal representatives, estate, heirs, next of kin, and assigns for any and all claims and causes of action for loss of or damage to our property and for any and all illness or injury to me that may result from or occur during my participation in the Activity, whether caused by negligence of Team Raja, LLC, its officers, employees or representatives or otherwise. I further agree to indemnify and hold harmless Team Raja, LLC, its officers, employees, and representatives from liability for the injury of any person(s) and damage to property that may result from my negligent or intentional act or omission while I participate in the described Activity.

I understand that NO ALCOHOL, ILLICIT DRUGS OR CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES OF ANY KIND (OTHER THAN THOSE THAT ARE LEGALLY PRESCRIBED BY A PHYSICIAN) CAN BE CONSUMED ON THE PREMISES, INCLUDING IN THE COMMON AREAS OF THE LOCATION WHICH INCLUDE THE LOBBY, RESTROOMS AND PARKING LOT AREAS. IF ANY PLAYER IS SUSPECTED OF BEING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL OR ILLICIT DRUGS OR IS SEEN CONSUMING ALCOHOL OR ILLICIT DRUGS, THEY WILL BE REMOVED FROM THE PREMISES AND RISK EXPULSION/TEAM ELIMINATION FROM THE SOCCER LEARNING CENTER WITHOUT A FEE OR TUITION REFUND.

I understand that children under the age of 18 are not permitted to accompany me to any TSLC Activity and that bringing a child to my Activity will expose them to danger or injury. I hereby release Team Raja, LLC DBA The Soccer Learning Center, it officers, employees, and representatives from any liability to me or any child or guest, our personal representatives, estate, heirs, next of kin, and assigns for any and all claims and causes of action for loss of or damage to our property and for any and all illness or injury to me, any child or guest that may result from or occur during my participation in the Activity, whether caused by negligence of Team Raja, LLC, its officers, employees or representatives or otherwise. I further agree to indemnify and hold harmless Team Raja, LLC, its officers, employees, and representatives from liability for the injury of any person(s) and damage to property that may result from my negligent or intentional act or omission while I participate in the described Activity. I understand that once I register for this Activity, I have reserved a space that is non-refundable for any reason.

I understand that if I dispute this policy and try to reverse a valid merchant charge or check with my banking institution, The Soccer Learning Center reserves the right to file collection and/or legal actions to ensure the recovery of the disputed tuition amounts plus all applicable fees and damages including charges for the time required to dispute and adjudicate such claims.
