The Flying Dutchmen have sailed to the top of the TSLC championship finals again, clinching their fourth consecutive tournament win. The March 22, 6 to 4 match versus Cuttlz was one of the best of the season, according to Coaching Director Alex Lalaoui. “The level of the league is getting more competitive, improving technically and tactically,” said Lalaoui. “Every team is really putting in a great effort and it shows in matches like these.”
Dinesh Pal, from the Dutchmen, and Laura Parry, from Cuttlz, were recognized with the season’s MVP awards. The MVP recipients are selected in a voting process conducted by the teams in the league. League referee, Abdellah Miftahi, also received a special award honoring his dedicated work on the league.
Team Cuttlz had dominated the league championships for some time with several back to back wins, but new teams, including the Flying Dutchmen, are already making their mark with the league. “I like to see a good competition with good discipline and I’m proud of the effort put forth by all of the teams this season,” said Lalaoui.
